I would like to share with you some of the experiences that occurred when David Thompson and members of the Circle Of The Silver Cord visited Perth recently. Christine Morgan and her dedicated Committee from the Spiritualist Sanctuary here in Perth did a wonderful job hosting the most memorable event which included Workshop, Trance, and Mental Mediumship demonstrations, but most outstanding of all was the Séances. A lovely lady called Silvana La Pegna representing Sacred Light also talked to us for a while - not nearly long enough I might add - about her wonderful abilities as a Medical Intuitive. Everyone agreed, Silvana left us wanting to know more about her very special gift. Anil from Adelaide also attended. Anil conducted Private Readings for all those who had booked, I believe all the appointments were taken. All of those I spoke to, as well as myself, agreed that Anil is a very talented Medium who has a wonderful ability to provide accurate and evidential proof of the continuance of life after death. Lastly Chris and his lovely wife Rosheen with their little daughter Lilly, who play such an important part in the circle, Chris and Rosheen hold a very great responsibility in working endlessly to ensure David's safety. Chris is the Circle Manager and as such, with Rosheen's help organises and runs all aspects of the security for the Séance, and safety of David's wellbeing. The thought that I and a group of friends who have become very dear to me over the past 4 - 5 years would be amongst those to be invited to witness such life changing phenomena during a 'real live Séance ' was exciting beyond words. I approached the Séance with great anticipation, not of a personal nature, but in wonder at what Spirit had planned for us all. Although excited, I felt somewhat humbled that something I had read many times about in books and magazines was about to happen to me. I have read the Testimonials of some of my friends who were among ' the chosen ones ' for I believe that Spirit had it all worked out a long time ago who would be attending ! Rather that repeat in my own words what has already been written about the fantastic events of the Séances, I would like to comment on all aspects of David's visit. The Workshop with David was great. David was very easy to understand in his explanations of how he worked, and it was lovely to hear of his time discovering himself and his association with Spirit. During the workshop David asked for volunteers to stand up and work - it was a bit like pulling hens teeth at first we were all a bit in awe I think ! However, people did stand up and work including myself, although I know we all felt we could have done a lot better than we did, it was the participation not the perfection that we shared and everyone there learned something, even by watching others discomfort ..... The night of the Trance Demonstration came and I was seated with my closest friend in the third row so had a very good view of David in his chair. Chris talked to us about what was going to happen to David and we watched while David went into the Trance state and then William spoke to us through David. At that time it appeared that David took on older feature and different mannerisms with his hand - truly incredible. William invited questions from the audience, and people began asking questions relating to the Spirit world. I thought how amazing here we are able to speak to a Gentleman who has been in the Spirit world for a 100 years ! I knew I needed to speak to this man, so quickly thought of a question, whilst I really was sure I knew the answer, it allowed me to actually speak to William. When I said to William, " Good evening my name is Jane " William replied .. something like.. " Good evening my dear, tell me were you not one of those who worked with David in his workshop earlier in the day " .... no one can imagine how shocked I was at this recognition, the actual acknowlegement that William was watching our lessons and the fact that William went on to thank me for work that I do. How truly special that is for me. The night of the Séance came, finally the event we had all been sitting for and counting down the days for was here. I was in the Monday night group where we were all touched by William and I think most of us by Timmy, we can use all the expressions we like to try and explain our feelings of this - ' oh so special happening' - nothing I can think of really describes the knowing that a Gentleman who is so knowledgeable of the Spirit world and indeed has been in the Spirit world for a 100 years manifested in front of our eyes - even although it was pitch black his energy could be felt, and we experienced his large wonderful hand on our shoulder or head - there are no words that can accurately describe - my feelings anyway. On the last night of The Circle's visit, a Public Demonstration was held in a hall where approximately 200 people were in attendance. David gave us a brilliant demonstration of Mental Mediumship, the evidence he gave whilst bringing forward loved ones from Spirit to various people in the audience was exceptional. During question time he also displayed an amazing ability to be able to answer some really, in my view anyway, incredible questions ! I cannot praise highly enough the work that David and his team do for Spirit, for the many times that David places his life in virtual jeopardy in order for him to bring forward undeniable proof of life in the world of Spirit.
