As a member of the Spiritualist Sanctuary in Perth Western Australia, it was with great delight that we hosted the Silver Cord Circle, for a series of workshops trance demonstration and physical mediumship.

            As part of the team that gathered to blackout the venue, I can say with all honesty that everything was above board, no hidden microphones or cameras. I was fortunate to be in the séance that was held on Monday 22nd Sept. and can vouch for all checks that took place.

            As the people arrived for the seance they were checked at the main door, that all jewellery was removed, all mobile phones switched off, their handbags were taken and placed in a room that was then locked. We entered the lecture hall, where it was explained about physical mediumship, We were then searched  had to produce photo identity, and were checked again, by Chris, with a hand held detector.  We then entered the séance room and were placed in our seats by David Thompson the physical medium.  In the room there was a small white lamp.  This was removed before the séance took place, but before that happened a lot of work was done, first one man and one woman were picked out, these were people who were not known to the Silver Cord Circle, they searched each member of the Silver Cord Circle.  They had the job of picking out the packets of ties, these were as they were bought from the shop, they then opened the packets and took out the ties that they wanted the group to use.  They then witnessed the tying in the chair of David, also the gag being placed in his mouth, his cardigan had buttons and buttonholes, these were fastened and then plastic electrical ties put through, the cutters for releasing David, were give to the man, to keep until the end of the seance.

            We began the evening being asked to hold hands and sing, then William, David’s control in the spirit world appeared.  We heard his footsteps, and he spoke, you could feel this man’s presence.  He then walked around the outside of the circle touching everybody, he actually squeezed my shoulder, and his hand was large, strong and warm.  He answered many questions, and as he departed you heard the ectoplasm going back into the medium.  Next came Timothy.  He is a 9 year old, full of mischief.  He controls the ectoplasm, and as he likes to tell you, they can’t do without him.  He gave a marvellous display with the trumpets.  They are cone shaped, painted black with reflective material around the bottom. They moved at a tremendous speed going right up to the ceiling and all over the room.  He put one of the trumpets on my head and rubbed it around and around, and this was done with quite a heavy hand.  We started to sing again and a gentleman called Howard Bloomsberry came.  He was a gospel singer, and gave us a song.  He had the most beautiful deep voice.  He introduced  Louis Armstrong, who sang a wonderful world, played the harmonica and tapped danced at the same time, and his dancing was very loud, you could hear every step.  Again when he departed we could hear the ectoplasm returning to the medium, we then started to sing again, and timothy asked for the music to be turned down, unfortunately Christopher miss heard and turned the music up, at this Timothy shouted very loudly for it to be turned down, he then asked for Margaret to speak up, which is me, as my father was here.  I heard my Dad approach, and stand in front of me, I could feel all of his energy, we had a nice conversation his reminding me of people who were friends who he had met up with in the spirit world, them sending me their good wishes, he then crossed the room, again we could here his movements, to have a conversation with my husband, even asking my husband if I was still as awkward.  He then came back to me, for another conversation, saying we will meet again, which I know we will. he then had to go, but as he walked away he was talking and his voice was going fainter and fainter, until we heard the ectoplasm, going back into the medium, that was my father without any doubt, and I can understand why timothy wanted the music turned down, as my father was a very quiet, reserved man.  We sang again, and a grandfather came for a person, this man spoke to his grandaughter.  He then walked across the room to his grandson, who was sat next but one to me.  Again you could feel this man’s energy, which was very different to any that had been before.  He spoke to his grandson and then went back to his granddaughter.  Again the sound of the ectoplasm was different to the sounds we had heard before.  As the evening was coming to a close we heard a bang, and when the lamp was put on.  David had been lifted still strapped in the chair, out of the cabinet, and was in front of us.  The two people who witnessed the tying of David, were asked to go and check that all ties were still in tact, which they were, the only difference was Davids cardigan was now back to front, with the ties still in place.  The gentleman produced the snippers, and David was released from the chair, the gag was removed from the mouth, and had left marks on his face.

            I have always known that life carried on after the physical death, and I’m sure that everybody else who attended left that evening with all doubts gone.  I can’t thank the Silver Cord Circle enough, and I feel very  privileged to have been witness to all that took place that evening,  On the Tuesday evening I was sat outside the séance room, that was to make sure that nobody was going in or out, and I could hear the door being sealed. as well as being able to hear the communicators, who were very different to the communicators on the Monday evening.
