Circle of the Silver Cord were hosted by the Spiritualist Sanctuary, Perth, Western Australia In October 2009. Last year I was fortunate enough to witness a seance given by the Circle of the Silver Cord (COSC), I was once again given the opportunity again, of which I jumped at. I need to tell you, that I saw the room before it was emptied of all furniture, and was there when it was being blacked out and the chairs for the attendees were being set out, so I know that nothing was placed in the room that shouldn't have been there. Before the seance we gathered for a lecture about what to expect in the seance room, this being how dark it would be, and that we had to hold hands when told to and not to reach out to touch unless we were given permission to, even though having sat in a seance before, one still goes through the lecture, at this time David the medium picks out two people he has never met before to test all the straps and ties and the gag once we enter the seance room. We are all searched, and the two people who are testing the straps also get to search all members of the COSC who are in the seance on that particular evening. Once in the seance room, the inspection starts, when they are satisfied, David gets strapped into the chair which they inspect and all the ties put through the straps and his cardigan and also the gag which David has on. We started to sing and then we heard the voice of William, who is the medium’s guide and mentor. We were then told to hold hands, he gave a short talk and then asked for questions, which he answered. He also referred to something that had happened to me on the saturday evening, which caused a big laugh from all present, he than asked if he could approach me, which of course I jumped at, he then touched my face, and his hand was large and warm and felt very solid, also at this time he accidently stood on my toe. We had some communicators for family members, a gentleman came to speak to his wife and daughter, and then a little boy who was 5 years old when he passed, he came to speak to his mummy. This was his first time, and it was very emotional. We also had communicators in the spirit world who regularly work with the COSC, Quentin Crisp, Louis Armstrong and Honest Jack. I asked a question of this man and his answer was honest, also a lady called May, she looks after the babies and children that pass away, and what a character she was. All this happened on Sunday 11th Oct. I was then asked if I would like to attend a seance that was being held on the Tuesday, which I did. Again we went through all the lecture and searching, this evening was very different to the Sunday one, even though it was dark it didn't seem quite as black as the Sunday. The spirit world had lightened it a little. Again we had communicators who work with the COSC, Quentin Crisp, he is actually going to find out some information for one of the attendees, Louis Armstrong, who sang and walked around the room whilst singing, Abraham Lincoln, who said that there were some people who were frauds and he was going to prove it, of course William David's guide and mentor, who again answered questions. My father came, I was busy talking to him, when he told me to be quiet, which was just Dad, as I said to him, he's still telling me off, he then gave me some information about something I was expected to do, I told him I didn't think I could do it, but he said I could and he would be there to help me. As he was going he cupped my face in his hands and kissed the top of my head, again a thing my dad would do. I never thought I would get the chance to have a kiss from my dad, whilst I am still alive. Then another gentleman came to speak to his daughter.
