TESTIMONIAL – SÉANCE Perth 23rd September 2008 It was our great pleasure at the Spiritualist Sanctuary here in Perth to host the members of The Silver Cord circle for 5 days and would like to take this opportunity to thank them for the hard work they put in to making this a wonderful experience for those of our members and guests who were invited to attend. We attended the Physical Materialisation Séance with English medium David Thompson on the 23rd September, 2008 something I never thought I would experience in my lifetime. I was excited, nervous, but, as I had sat outside the room during the previous nights Séance I knew we were in for something so special and life-changing. I was not disappointed. The preliminaries were of being called individually and searched all items removed from pockets, showing photo ID's, this being done to protect David from any physical harm as each time he sits he puts himself at risk from injury so you can imagine security is at a premium. The cabinet, straps, ties, chair were meticulously checked by two guests. David was also searched and then seated in an old fashioned chair with wooden arms, his arms and legs were tied to the chair with individual straps. Tie straps secured David's cardigan with the ties straps running through each button hole and a gag was securely placed over his mouth, tied behind his head and secured also with tie straps. The evening began with the playing of music. We were asked to hold hands, then David's guide, mentor, friend William stepped out of the cabinet, his footsteps were load and clear on the board in front of the cabinet I was about 10ft away. His presence was amazing, the beautiful cultured tone of his voice, the eloquence, and the love that was felt in the room as he spoke giving us his wisdom and insight, and knowledge answering each question whether on birth, life, death, spirituality, without pause or hesitation, I had to hold back the tears at this time, the feeling was overwhelming. He moved across the room and in answering a question to Jackie who was sitting next to me he stepped on my foot that was an experience I will treasure. We were then treated to Timothy, that wonderful laugh of his as he went round the room showing each one of us his fingers and the humour of Quentin Crisp really lifted the vibration even more, as he moved around the room with his suggestive comments which had us all laughing, so just feeling their presence as they walked past, spirit walking amongst us, this was really happening, how close we were to the spirit world at this time, the closest whilst still in the physical. Louie Armstrong playing his harmonica and singing "What a Wonderful World", his tap dancing, the noise, the speed he was so close I thought he would fall on my lap. We then experienced a truly wonderful materialization of David and the Silver Cord's spiritual protector a highly evolved being from spirit named White Soaring Bird who gave us an Indian Blessing, the power was truly amazing, it was as if the whole room was shaking. The sound of the ectoplasm returning to David after this was tremendous. William spoke to us again as the Séance drew to a close, we sang "Time to Say Gooodbye", it was very emotional, we then heard a loud crash it was David's chair being levitated and dropped more than 10ft in front of the cabinet. David was still strapped to the chair, his cardigan was reversed. Two guests inspected and found the tie straps still tightly secured through each button hole, his arms and legs were also still secured tightly to the chair. When his gag was removed you could see the indentation round his mouth from the tightness of it. This was a wonderful once in a lifetime experience. Not one person who attended could possibly deny the continuity of life. How fortunate were we who came together on this wonderful evening in Perth, and I would like to thank David, Chris, Rosheen and every one of the Silver Cord team for the opportunity that was afforded to us and proving once more that we live on after the death of our physical body.
