Personal Review - David Thompson Workshop and Lecture on Physical Mediumship  and Séance – held at Glasgow , Scotland on Saturday , 13th October 2007.

Lecture / Workshop

Thirty eight people attended the workshop from a variety of countries such as Germany, France and Norway. Many were practicing mediums.

After a warm introduction by Dennis Pearman the lecture / workshop commenced. David was supported by his circle members Chris (Circle Leader) , Rosheen (Manager) and Sam. David commenced (unscripted) by sharing his life history and kept emphasizing the importance of questioning everything you learn and to learn by actually experiencing. Never take everything as the truth. This had helped in his development. Invaluable techniques to help develop mediumship were given which only took seconds to implement. Also both trance and physical mediumship with

respect to David’s development was shared. The workshop had a lovely flow with David encouraging positive interaction and sharing of other people’s experiences.

As the lecture progressed David revealed that he was talking under trance whilst under the guidance of William, his main guide. Volunteers were asked to go into trance under the guidance of David’s two circle members Chris and Rosheen who were very sensitive to energy changes and therefore acted as energy shields for David’s protection during his physical seances. Volunteers

were put under trance (separately) under David’s watchful eye. On one occasion a guide of one of the volunteers came through and David began questioning the guide to check the authenticity of guidance. Three volunteers were put in trance. After each trance the observing delegates shared their observations or feelings during the trance which included comments such as face changes, sudden temperature drops and energy flashes.

David then went into trance where his guide William came through to answer any questions from the delegates. The energy from David was incredible. William was an extremely charming and well spoken English gentlemen. I felt immense heat energy from my solar plexus generated as William came through which was equally reflected in William’s warm charm and sense of humour. The room also felt extremely warm. The lecture and workshop was very interesting and opened up my awareness about mediumship. This was reflected by the fact that the time passed extremely quickly and the workshop finished half an hour later than the planned finishing time. On talking to other delegates this view was also shared.

Physical Séance

The evening began with a thorough body search of David Thompson and his circle members by myself and a fellow sitter. The straps, plastic ties, black gag, chair, floor and black wooden cabinet were all meticulously checked. The buttoned cardigan worn by David was checked and separate plastic ties for each button hole were used to tie the cardigan on. It was impossible to get this off without cutting off the ties with a plyer. The plyers required to cut the ties were given to me to keep on person during the seance. The door of the room was completely sealed with adhesive tape. Once we were satisfied with the bindings and that David was securely fastened in the chair he was moved into the cabinet. Chris, the Circle Leader opened in prayer. The lights were switched off to reveal absolute pitch darkness where you could not see your hands in front of you. Music was played to raise the vibrations after which the friendly voice of William, David’s guide came through to greet everybody with his warm personality. William gave permission to put the red light on so that everybody could see the ectoplasm exuding from David. It made for incredible viewing. Also there was a loud audible sound of someone jumping in the middle of the room. William retired into the cabinet to be followed by a young spirit called Tim who was a friendly and giggly young boy. Trumpets began moving swiftly and flew around the room touching sitters in the front row. Also a glow in the dark tile was moved around the room where the Tim’s fingers could be clearly seen holding it. This drew audible sighs of amazement from the sitters. I jokingly asked where the thumb was and he obliged by showing me his thumb. A couple of other delightful spirits came through to

cement the proof of existence of Spirit. Then a delightful spirit called Jack came through and answered questions in his unique accent. He was touching people’s heads and patting their shoulders as proof of the existence of Spirit. A lady next to me, clearly amazed had felt and commented on his large hands. Then Jack answered my question and rubbed my hair with his hands and said this was to prove to me that Spirit existed. It felt solid and  was absolutely amazing as this was my first séance. Two sitters were emotionally reunited with their loved ones in Spirit. This was very touching. Thomas Edison was brought through to answer a technical question for two delegates for their electronics project. The terms used were certainly very technical. Also Louis

Armstrong came through to delight the sitters with his trumpeting and singing the song “It’s a Wonderful World” using the trumpet provided by the circle. This certainly had a healing effect.

At the end of the séance David was brought back by William. The light was put on to reveal that David had moved from the cabinet to the middle of the floor still strapped to the chair. Also his cardigan was on back to front. A fellow sitter and myself checked all the ties, straps and gag I found the plastic ties to be untouched and intact. The room, cabinet and chair were searched. David was also searched.

This was a truly wonderful gift from Spirit. I felt like a child who had just opened his Christmas present and got exactly what he has wanted all his life. During the séance hands were held to eliminate the possibility of touch from other sitters. There was so many positive aspects to be cherished such as the solidity of the Spirit called Jack whose hand I felt. The funny sense of humour of Spirit was evident. Also during the séance I felt my Father and Mother draw very close to me which was very healing and emotional.

On talking to other sitters this positive opinion was shared. The fact that the séance

lasted two hours but it felt like only ten minutes speaks for itself.
