David Thompson has the ability to go into a deep state of trance (loss of consciousness) in an extremely controlled environment allowing his trusted friend and confidant in the Spirit World William Charles Cadwell to exude a substance called ectoplasm from his physical body allowing William and those elected by him to materialize and communicate in physical form. Those elected may be loved ones for guests or specific Spirit individuals with philosophical messages. Due to the fact of the rare nature of ectoplasm and its fragile state when exposed to the natural environment strict conditions have to be applied to the séance room, one of the main destroying factors in the natural environment is light. A quote from William Charles Cadwell, David’s trusted friend and confidant in the Spirit World and convener of The Circle of the Silver Cord giving an account of materialization: “If I could describe to you this: due to the vibration of young David that is emanating from his physical body, I am able to interpenetrate that of the earth’s vibration by means of my etheric body vibration changes.
